Like it was just yesterday, that we were like little children. Children, who are naive and a bit confused, has found the meaning of a "Human being" in their very own group. Yes, we are proud to be in that circle of children. (MAGIS! and ANIMO!)
ASSP, basically, whats is it? Like duH people, it is so obvious that it's the AtEnEO SuMMeR SeNioR ProGrAM. (Just kidding!-hehe pix!^.^) Just hearing that word... "summer program", it's a bit embarrassing when people will start to think that a bright person like you will be taking summer class. But no!, to be honest, after knowing that I passed the qualifying round, I thought that this will only be a program that will fill your mind for a month. But I was wrong, so wrong that I hadn't expected this to be a special program.
It all began during the first day at the CDC. Gosh! I was late, because by that time there where some misunderstanding on the meeting place that was negociated between me and my classmates. By a distance, you could see a long line outside the CDC hall and as a result of being late I was nearly at the end of the pack. Normally, everybody were in an island state, where in students from the same school only talked to their classmates. I really felt alienated by that time but finally, (phew!) the registration was already completed. Before we were asked to sit to our respective places, we were asked to hold an ice cube, which I found to be weird at first. Nevertheless, I only understand the ice concept when Mr. E started the orientation. After just 3 days of knowing thy self and other people, it clearly seen that almost everyone had already gained self-confidence and more importantly new friends.
I know it is a bit childish to think that having new friends will mean the whole world to you but yes it does. In my situation, as a loner in school to a different environment, it will definitely change your perspective. Now, I guess you already know what do I mean by appreciation of little matters.
Moreover to the next day and another, we had been learning various common subjects like math, physics, english and com-sci to special subject like religious studies. Pardon me if I may seem to be unfair in the classification of each subject. For your information, I'm kinda ignorant of having religious studies in a class. I'm NOT an "A.G.( normal people- Anti-God, Chonghuanians- Aaron GO-just kidding!^^)", because since kindergarten, elementary and up to high school in our school we hadn't experience any religious matter. As far, I found physics to be a tough subject, that in order to get through it you should be tougher than it. But not to worry I'm nearly catching up with my classmates, who were already exposed to that subject.
Recently, besides those shocking announcement (LONG TEST IS NEARING!), we are now in constant practice for the competition against Animo! (GO MAGIS!). Even though it is tiring, it is still fun having everyone around. As what Fr. Chambers had said, we are the SALT of the group. Our presence makes other people better and brings favor for the group.
Furthermore as time pass by in a fast pace, it really saddens me. To realize that where we are now standing, may possibly be just a simple dream. A dream that can change your life for the better. Well, I wont end this yet 'cause I know that there are still interesting matters that are just waiting to happen.
